SYE will affect the vibes and allow you to point the pinion in an acceptable manner.
You might be able to take an 1/8" or a 1/4" out of all four arms exactly and bring the rear axle forward for clearance.
But my guess is once you road test things you're not going to like life without a SYE and double carden driveshaft.

Do you have an angled rear track bar bracket?
No bracket. I did not install the one with the kit either. I could install the lift kit bracket but figured it was not needed since using the adjustable bar.
I've had and/or installed more than 10 of those lifts. The one with the kit isn't angled either. I needed the angled bracket to stop the CLUNK of my rear track bar hitting my gas tank skid every time I took off too fast. $25 well spent.
So you can run the angled one even without the SYE? Why in the JKS instructions do they say do not use their bracket unless you have the non-stock shaft? if it’s fine to use one I will get one. Thanks

I am installing a Zone 4” lift on my TJ and have some questions. Now, just to preface all of this, I have a 2.5 that will much later get an LS swap. So I do not want to spend any extra money on the Dana 35. I have an 8.8 and Artec kit waiting to be welded up one day. Not in the near future though so plan on seeing how long this 4 cylinder will last. I also already did the Savvy 1” body lift to be ready for the LS.
Anyways, in the rear they say you need to drill out the bracket for the upper control arms to put in caster/camber bolts. Can I skip this step since I am using Core adjustable uppers and just use stock fasteners? Any recommendation on a good baseline setting?
I also bought a JKS adjustable rear Trac bar. Any numbers good for a baseline on that? Should I use the drop bracket that came with the Zone kit with the JKS?
For now I plan on using the T case drop they send if that matters. I plan on doing the SYE after I get the 8.8 in, so holding off on all that since I will need different lengths most likely on the driveshaft.
Also this will mainly be a street Jeep, so not looking to spend a ton in suspension and get that last bit of flex. Most flexing it would probably see is a pebble in the road. I plan on running JL Rubicon wheels with 34’s. Yes I know it will run like a pig and I can always go back to the 32’s if it’s that bad.

You’re trying to set things up for clearances. Once you rotate the rear pinion up to point at your output shaft for an SYE the rear trackbar tends to hit the gas tank or gas tank crossmember, so you can use an angled trackbar bracket at the axle end to move the trackbar forward so it doesn’t hit. If you’re planning an SYE you should go ahead and do it IMO.

Got ya. Thanks @TheBoogieman. Doing all this research online gives so much conflicting answers. People sound like your Jeep is going to explode if you do not dump a ton of money on a lift. I had a 2006 that I put a cheap Rough Country 4” lift on about 13ish years ago and to me it rode great. Drove it to FL from NC and back without issue.

I would install it, but the problem is I do not want to buy 2 driveshafts since the 8.8 will be going in. This was just a fun start up because the suspension was completely shot on my Jeep.![]()
What’s wrong with an LS swap? Especially in a 4 banger? If it was a 4.0 I would leave it, but this 2.5 is on its last legs.

I looked into that swap as well, BUT for me I already have an LS swapped Mustang, so it just makes sense for me to stay in that realm. I already have the extra parts, programmer, etc![]()
