For anyone who was following this thread or lands on it with similar issues, a little followup.
Mopar crank position sensor is an absolute must on these Jeeps! I went through 4 different non-Mopar sensors, thinking that possibly some of them might not work, but no way NONE of them would work; I was so wrong. I passed on the Mopar sensor for two reasons, one being what I just mentioned and the other is availability. I didn't want to wait for the back ordered part was available. Wait for the darn part.
I decided to look again and found a Mopar CKP, bought it and, like magic, my troubles are done. If you need to replace the crankshaft position sensor, pay the price and wait for it to be available if it's not in stock. Don't waste your time or money on store brand or otherwise, it probably wont fix your issue.
