Will a Alpine PDX V-9 fit under the steering column?

As you said, it’s all in this thread on this page. His listed dimensions for that amp are incorrect. According to your own research the amp will be a tight fit.
Yeah, all I know is what I’ve found about what sizes will fit and what won’t. Here’s the question OP asked:
Would a PDX V9 that is 13 x 11 x 5 inches amp fit under the steering column?
…and my answer to that remains to be, definitively, no.

I’ve got my list of amps that I’m sure *will* fit, given plans for adding power distribution and other stuff under there, and I’m working from that.

Modern class D amps do not generate heat like old school class AB amps, under the seat is just fine. Mine has been mounted upside down to the bottom of my passenger seat frame for probably 15 years with no issues.

I've had two class D amps. One was a cheaper 5 channel Class D amp and it constantly overheated and shut off. This is why I got the Alpine because of it's reputation for running cooler and better quality. But, even my Alpine gets real warm when I drive it hard. I don't now what kind of amp you have, but this is my experience with amps. They can get hot.

I found the bracket for mounting the Alpine PDX-V9 under the dash for a TJ Wrangler. This is the one I have. I can't link the forum because it is another Jeep forum, and I believe that is forbidden. The post is like from 2010. So, I don't know if the bracket is still available. But, if Google the name below and go to images, you can see other pictures of the Alpine PDX-V9 mounted under the dash on a TJ Wrangler and the bracket itself.
