Please, don't ruin your soundstage by putting 6.5 speakers in the rear. You want the same speakers equally balanced all around for the best soundstage. Then you can tweak your sound stage to perfection by adding a little polyfill behind the front speakers. I spent like thirteen years figuring this out, and it's been over ten years since I got my TJ new in 1997 and set the sound system in 2013. For speakers, I recommend CDT's. They are California made, and 150 watt RMS. These aren't some overseas junk. I have been cranking up my volume on those speakers with my Alpine for over ten years now, and have not blown one out yet. I mean cranking, Dude. lol. I've been cranking those speakers so much that I had to stand 20 feet away from my Jeep to be able to stand it. The CDT's are reasonably priced too, at only $199 a pair, with the crossovers built in. If you don't believe in them, you can get a 5 year warranty for only 10 dollars more. This is how good they are and how much the manufacturer stands behind them. Invest in your sound system, set it and forget it. Of course, if you have an Alpine PDX-V9, you have to have a good subwoofer box, or you are just wasting the potential of the amp. I'm sorry that people continue to run their mouths and don't know what they are talking about, but you saw the picture of it installed under my dash, and the dimensions that you provided were spot on. I checked them. Yes, I recommend that if you are going to this level, that you have a good professional install the amp. There are a lot of wires, and the I went to many installers and they couldn't do it, and install it under my dash. Then, I went to one and he said no problem and gave me a good price. He put that amp under there, and his work was perfect. He has contracts for the City, and does awesome wraps for businesses too. He installed all my lighting, stereo, Alarm system, cables, and power breakers too. And once you find a good installer, it doesn't have to cost you an arm and leg. He installed my head unit with a large screen, back up camera, and hands free mic for $500 total. That was two years ago, and the Android Auto, large screen stereo, is flawless. When the screen suddenly cracked in the corner for no reason, he replaced it and exchanged it for free. The guy is just good and humble. I am lucky that I found him. We still have this kind of quality in this country. And yes, he is Mexican and rich because of his work and attention to detail. Peace out.
