What's Your Dream Build

I could probably post several dream builds, all a little different. I’ll bite but ill need a machine shop and a money tree because it isnt made. But how awesome would it be to include this:

Part x
Part y
Part z
Billet aluminum 4.0 block
Aluminum Edelbrock head

Mine is exactly how I want it. Only items missing would be Atlas and a roll cage. I think what I would spend the 100k on would be an awesome tow/sleeper vehicle.
My TJ is my daily driver so retiring it from that duty would be awesome.

What I have invested so far plus about another $8,500. It would have been cheaper, slightly, to get a really nice Rubicon and add a winch, wheels and tires. But where's the fun in that? Plus I get to flog out four angry squirrels in the backwoods with this rig.
Ha, ha. Yeah, it get's pricey. I've shelled out 2,800 the first year on my TJ. 2,500 scheduled for next year and 2,500 the year after. And that doesn't include all the TBD items! It's adding up, but fun! I thought to do this thread to actually encourage me to do the build I really want and not buy something lesser...I thought it would also give others ideas to mods or companies they're not aware of. Plus, it's just fun to imagine people's rigs!

You guys kept track of what you spent for your mods?

Ballsy!! :)

I feel comfortable doing a long road trip in my TJ, even with a soft top. It would be a lot more fun driving the TJ vs a car or truck.

I’d still like to buy a JKU later on, while keeping the TJ.

For me is not any issue with driving it is more the ability to tow it to a trail and back home. I few years back I drove it to WindRock TN and back home after a week beating the crap out if it lol. Always run the risk of either rolling it or breaking something that will prevent me from driving it back.

Yup, within a couple'a hundred dollars. Give or take. I don't really make enough to be modding a TJ, so every penny out side of maintenance and repair gets thoughtful scrutiny. The question is always "What's the return on this investment, and is it really worth it?". Keeps me honest.

Edited to add: All in, including purchase cost, I should have shy of $18,000 invested when she's done.

Hmm. I’ll have to look to see what I paid for mine. I really can’t remember, it’s been so long.

I agree. I don’t make enough to be doing a lot of mods. The mods that I HAVE done, I saved up for a long time. I was very fortunate to have done what I have to it.

Now that's a true dream. Not sure it would still be a TJ though! ;)

Got my 06 Rubicon.
Got the tires and rims I want.
Got the bumpers I want.
Got the stereo I want.
I would like a transfer gearing around 3.25. The 4:1 is a bit slow for my needs, the 2.72 a bit fast. Some new fenders all around. Haven't decided what I want yet. And a grey interior. Love my black exterior, but the grey inside would set it off even better.

A CJ-7 front clip!!! To me that is what a Jeep should be. And some days I would add a 2.8 Cummins. But I love the 4.0.

How did that turn out? They do have some nice 2jz and 1jz forged blocks. Pretty penny though
