What did you do to your TJ today?

Discovered I may have a thermostat problem. It was around 30F (quite cold for DFW) Saturday morning and even after driving for 30+ minutes the temp gauge never even got to the "2" in 210, normally it sits right on the "1". And my trans temp gauge never even got to 110F. The low trans temp is a little surprising, since my engine temp was still around 175F (just a guess based on the needle position).

Thanks for the info! After breaking one of the bolts, I used the heat and wax method and they came off like butter. I'll probably buy all new hardware anyway. The price of the pump went up quite a bit, $195 to $255 locally.

I've had the hard start problem since i got this Jeep but it never really bothered me because I grew up with carbureted cars and they always cranked a while before they started. LOL.
I'm hoping this new pump helps at least somewhat with my heat soak issue.

I was thinking about going that route but i have no idea how old this pump is so I decided to replace the whole assembly.

Are new RockJock 4" springs worth $250? I just need the fronts so I can install my free winch without the front sagging. He's going to throw in new RC N3 shocks too, and I know everyone loves them.

I know the rears still haven't settled all the way, so it still has a slight rake to it.

I understand, I think when I bought the Delphi it was close to $200.00 cheaper with shipping than what O'Reilly could do.

The problem is, brick and mortar seldom has what I need, they either don't carry it at all, or they're "temporarily out of stock." Friggin' Home Depot doesn't seem to carry much of anything that I need much of the time, and its overpriced if they do. I'm relying more and more on the mom-and-pop hardware outfit that has been in the same location since 1888. They "have it". It might be 50 years old, but its there and the prices are excellent. You have to have a store employee conduct you through this warren of 3 buildings and 2 stories, but its there.

Lowe's stocked the generator cord I wanted , the HD could order it and have it in 4 days.

It's funny, cause around here it's the opposite. Home depot seems to be more sub-contractor focused while Lowe's is more homeowner. So the HD's around here are always packed

I would probably shop both of them more, but when I want top grade lumber, well let's just say, they never have any.

When I built a 3 season porch , I had to get the lumber from HD but the plywood from Lowe's , Couldn't get all good stuff at one store .
