What did you do to your TJ today?

More or less finished up the custom rock lite harness. "More or less" is because I have one more final connection to make, tying a long harness with a short harness and one more lite pigtail that spices in the same spot. Damn mosquitos were eating me alive, so I said forget it until tomorrow.

Three pros to the lights, they're freaking bright, they're wired properly, and I use them appropriately 😉

I love my a-pillar leds. They make all the difference in the woods at night.

The ones in the bumper cutouts don't do anything if my high beams are on, so they're mostly useless.

My a pillar lights are bright AF. Probably going to switch the bumper lights out for something more fog light oriented, yellow toned.

First good wash with soap since I've got it

I'm sorry, you expect us to believe this, yet you clearly had time to hang little wreaths in all of the windows in your house and decorate your lawn with festive shit? You, sir, need to adjust your priorities...

Lol not my house, my buddy's house is across the street, he's got the foam cannon and everything

Slept in front of the White Sands museum. Feeling plenty rested and excited to get home this afternoon.

That jeep is a beaut mike !
That's about where I want my rig to look like! Do you still have your turbo rig? That's the last time I've read on your stuff when you were dealing with that bullripper trans and us talking about the Guage pod that lets you read temps, boost etc.

Ford 9" swap/Triangualted mid arm progress:
Well today I got to learn a new skill, took about 9 tries total (10 ring gear bolts so 5 sets of wire ties)
Got to learn how to safety wire ring gear bolts on the ford 9" that's gonna go on my Lj 😁
Opinions, things I could do better? I found that tucking the rest of the wire under the wire thats crossing to give me a cleaner look/an easier way of tucking away the wire rather than just leaving the rest up !

Went to summit racing and saw a 3rd member with safety wire'd ring gear bolts so I did the same. Inspiration ⬇️ (not my work)

And I got done setting the gears on this thing too,Looks like a decent pattern to me !

And I got one of the frame rails sanded down, got a bit more sanding to do to get them as flat as I'd like 😁! You won't even tell that there used to be any control arm mounts there,I still need to do the underside but that should be easier

This was satisfying to me lol, seeing the metal come out in coils as I chiseled away 😆

And now to finish off the blending the frame tomorrow and chopping off more brackets and do more blending 😆As I continue to wait on my iron man 4x4 mid arm frame Brackets so I can get the ball rolling and start doing mockup on the control arms using pvc etc. ...

Guess it was more yesterday but had my bestop replacement softop put on and holy cow it looks amazing compared to the old faded/worn soft top.

Feels very nice and fancy too.

Went with the black twil so now got to find replacement door uppers as the zips are gone on my old ones. Then book aircon regas and the car will be ready for daily duties again

Had Bestop on a month now... really like it although I'm trying to use to the zipper being on the rear side windows and not on the roof part...(only on the Left side though which is strange) The right hand side the zipper is on the roof like my old one !!

It's possible it's a factory fault...just not sure.

Anyone else have this on theirs?....

2003 top changes.
  • NOTE: Change in driver’s side window: male zipper is now on window, female zipper on the top, previous years was vice-versa.

Installed the missing bushings to keep my seat from jiggling around. Didn’t install the uppers as the old parts are fine and still in place. Save them for another day. The replacements came with 2 extra sets of screws. They also have a notable curve. Maybe the factory part also did, but mine are flat at this point.

The lowers only measure to be 1.5mm larger in diameter then my old bushing, but it filled the gap.

Thanks man. Having it here certainly hasn't sunk in yet. I plan to get it out today to see what the LS2 is like.

It looks like you are building up something very nice and purposeful. @SkylinesSuck will have a new drag racing challenger. :D

Still have my TJ :)

Well, you won’t have to bother putting on your seat belt, Mike… 😉

Just kidding as always. Welcome to the Hemi vs. LS shit-talkers group. 😎

In all seriousness, that is a good looking rig. Congrats.
