What did you do to your TJ today?

Thank you sir! This is my midlife crisis for sure,
Lol. Trying to make this my bucket list rig. Last winter was the LS swap and highlines. This winter is JK axles, mid-arm and going to 37’s. Last step will be out boarding with tuned Fox’s, that may be part of this step, just need to see how the expendable funds play out, taking the fam to Mexico in February as well…..

Man. After some of the money I’ve spent on these might be an end of life crisis because my wife would kill me.

If you're going to outboard and get tuned shocks, instead outboard and get a set of ORI's.

They’re quadruple the price and bring along other issues such as a brace between towers. My motor sits fairly high with the truck intake, and, while possible, would be a packaging nightmare and I’m not sure there is much of an advantage, not even factoring in the cost.

You don't need a brace between the towers if the towers are installed correctly. Honestly can't even remember a Jeep with a brace between the towers that had ORI's or coilovers.

Thankfully my wife and I operate financially separate for the most part and I speak in broad generalizations for some things. :ROFLMAO:

We are very similar and I am thankful for it ….

She gets a check from my company, I don’t.

One time she told me she figured I spent 60,000 on one…. I was like oh boy that means I’ve got 30 more thousand to spend.

My wife's card never gets declined. She's a stay at home mom and our accounts are combined. If she's happy with what the kids have, we aren't in debt, and the house is taken care of, she doesn't complain about what I spend.

She did question me this week when I had very large and heavy Revolution G&A boxes show up on 3 separate days. 😬

Man, I’ve had a great day and extremely fun evening-

I took some time to plan some changes to my work shop, refinished my miter stand, cleaned out my work trailer, and got my truck in good shape -

Took a good friend fishing-

Took the amigos on a road trip-

I think Cruz was slightly drunk-

If you guys will think back over the past few years, you’ll notice you’ve never seen me drive this thing all the time like I’m doing now -

Blaine told me “get the balance beads out of the tires “ - and I didn’t want to break down the bead locks and let it sit mostly-

Anyway, as usual, it pays to listen to people that know their stuff and it made a huge difference to remove them-

This thing is a pleasure to cruise around in-

Rides cushy without being bouncy-

It’s just weird how many people are confused when they look at

I’ve had TJ owners think it was a JK and JK owners think it was a JK

LJ owners love it.

I’m really grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to own it. I’ll never forget the first time I saw it…. I couldn’t believe it.

I want to add this is not about “hey look at what I have”-

I imagine a lot of people are like me and they get one of these things and they don’t know exactly what they are doing, and they lose confidence that the Jeep can be really good - or they make decisions based on trends or some form of group think like when people think a long arm is the answer….

My point is with quality parts and good set up these things can be a pleasure on and off the road.

I agree. I commute in mine all the time and to get anywhere from my house you’re spending time at 70mph plus. Every part of my build I’ve kept drivability in mind. The only exception might be the beadlocks and Baja Bosses I’m about to install but currently I can set my cruise at 85 with one finger on the wheel. It drives like a dream at speed, until I get above 90. Then I get a slight driveline vibe but I attribute that to shortening the stock driveshaft myself and not balancing it. I checked runout but never got it balanced as I knew I’d be swapping it out within a year for a CV.

Yes I think it was those I looked up before and they were out of stock not sure when they’re getting restocked either…
I’ll check again.. thanks

UPDATE - Aussie Amazon have run out of stick and don't know when they are getting more.
USA Amazon have stock but can't ship to New Zealand... (must be a hobbit thing again) haha
I've just sent an email to Rugged Ridge directly asking about shipping to NZ and their stock levels.

You know I love Amazon Hobbit logistics…
Mastertop makes them…you’ll pay more in shipping but it’s an option.

Last ones were RainX and didn't last 6 months.

Never again

That's what you get for buying expensive wiper blades. I get mine straight from China via Cali Temu. I can't even attempt to pronounce the name brand. 🤔
