Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ radiator

What did you do to your TJ today?

Finished the block cleaning after changing the valve cover gasket. Then waxed the Jeep and cleaned the windows in preparation of a trip next week to Lone Pine to run Steel Canyon and Lippencott Road/ Pass. We are nice and clean now, so let’s go get her dirty!

Finally had the time to replace the front Bilstein shocks with the Ranchos. Huge difference in ride quality. I also busted out the stands and strings and did a Bubba toe adjustment. Another big improvement in drivability. Next thing will be to replace a few of the rod ends to tighten things up in the steering system so I can do a final alignment and put that step behind me.

I got mine from a wrecker's yard over here in NZ. (I've had them for years).. I got sick of ripping my shorts on the factory 'Hooks' whenever I'd step down from standing on the front bumper.
Thanks.. had the something happen.. that's why I am asking.
Got caught on the hook and tore my shorts..

Started replacing my u-joints. A little disappointed as the front one is the wrong one, too small a diameter and too long. For the front at the differential had to heat it up to get the white rope / goo out to remove it. The groove is located at about the halfway point, seems odd that is enough for room for the ujoint

Yep… see it is a thing 😂…. I was the hanging there for days until my neighbours (neighbors) rescued me 😂😂

Alright boys....you can download the write-up and STL files in a zip archive located here (my domain), archive password is "WTF". Hit me up in a PM here if you have any questions or issues using the files, I'll do what I can to assist. Hopefully the info included in the documentation will cover.

Nice looking tails, @mrblaine (y)

Hey chili pepper, I don't have enough posts to PM you. Do you still have these STLs? Best design I've seen so far!

After 15 months since being removed for repairs and refinishing, Tessie's hardtop has finally been reinstalled as of last evening. Before doing the deed, took her for a little joyride topless...

I installed the rear glass in the dark last evening, the forecast was calling for rain early this morning....and they were correct. Might help in discovering any possible leaks. Plan now is for a new rear glass with tint/defrost grid and some new hinges to go with. Forgot how quiet it is driving with the hardtop on.

Not available currently. Something changed on my server and I haven't gotten around to doing anything about it, partly because I haven't had the time, but also because I'm actually working on a version 2. Trying to reduce print times and waste as well as adapt the design to work with earlier TJ's.

Well I feel stupid now. Woke up in the middle of the night thinking about the u-joint issue and being the wrong one. Went out to the garage to take another look and realized the caps are two different sizes and two of the caps have a slot in them for C-ring to slide into on the inside of the DS. Guess I do have the right u-joint. I think all the one’s I’ve replaced had the snap-ring on the outside.

Celebrated finishing off the hard top installation and getting most of the shop/garage cleaned up by treating myself to some local tavern-style chicken pizza, Old Bay fries and a Corona Light (or two). I didn't think about a food photo until after the pizza was history, so you'll either have to take my word on it or wait a few hours for photographic evidence... :sneaky:
