What did you do to your TJ today?

Not worried about wind?

Not really. There are steel tabs at each corner with 3' long rebar anchors driven into the ground. This Mare Motel is anchored the same way and has been there several years through some pretty good winds.

Oh cool just looked like it was sitting there lol.

The MC system is identical to the Rough Country in design. I had no issues with the RC, other than breaking TRE's every time I put them in a bind. I never had any bump steer either. I even slammed the drag link into several large rocks and it never bent.

The MC system is probably fine for up to mild off roading. I will not have a TRE again. I think hiem's are a lot stronger.

NV building standards are a little different than my 100 lb. sq. ft. snow load and 130 m.p.h 3 second gust wind loading !
Glad you can get by building an inexpensive for the TJ and baby JD .

Thankfully we don't get that kind of snow or wind here. One of the reasons I live here.

Not exactly to, I just placed the order through Dennys Driveshaft for the front double cardan joint, new u-joints for the front and rear driveshafts and a new slip boot for the front axle. Thank you everyone who helped me find the right parts and suggestions. Looking forward to getting those changed out and off of my mind.

I am impressed for a 19 year old vehicle with 122K miles the part sticker is still on the rear driveshaft. The entire sticker was there a few months ago then those darn rocks jumped up and hit the driveshaft!

There is livestock in this area? What do they eat, sand?

Lol! More than you would think. Quite a few ranches, dairies, etc. around here. Dairy Farmers of America even opened a powdered milk plant here.

Other side of the fence in the first pic is BLM land. Open range cattle often are roaming around. Sometime I'll throw moldy hay over the fence for the cattle. Horses can't have it but no problem for a cow.

I have always lived where it is green and you can run a cow/calf pair on 2 acres vs the 200 acres it looks like it would take there. Raising livestock on feed bags and imported hay is an expensive business model. Are the cattle there part goat?

Of course it's powdered milk, all the moisture evaporated out of it. Comes out of the udder like baby powder!!

Digging around in my center console I came across the parts pile that’s been there since I bought the rig. I’ve figured out the 4 nuts are for my doors, as I removed them for first time recently and realized the nuts were gone. However I’ve yet to figure out what these other two bolts are? Any ideas? I didnt feel this warranted a whole thread…

What are these for? Came in the box with my savvy skid plate

Those are shims
They go underneath to where the skid plate goes for the savvy tummy tuck! I'm currently doing a manual swap&Savvy tummy tuck and asked myself the same thing! But after mocking everything up I figured out what they were lol

Changed my speedometer gear housing O-ring. This thing has been dripping ATF like crazy ever since I got it a couple of weeks ago. I finally pressure washed everything underneath so I could get a better idea where the fluid was coming from. It looked pretty certain that the speedometer gear housing was the culprit. Sure enough, one O-ring later and things are staying nice and dry. Amazing that one silly O-ring can leak so much fluid. But even MORE amazing is just how much some vendors charge for these! I was lucky enough to find one under $2.00. But I saw them mostly around $8.00 and all the way up to nearly $20.00!!!

Here’s what I took off:
