What did you do to your TJ today?

I thought the carbon monoxide detector was for that. Still feel like crap.
Carbon Monoxide is an off gas of burning natural gas. The only way for that detector to go off is if the natural gas is actually burning and has bad ventilation.

Sucks that happened. At least you see the bright side.

Good to know. I Googled natural gas leaks and it said gas companies have to put stuff in it so people can smell it easily. Doesn't work with me though. My only drawback to never smelling anything.

It smells like rotten eggs. Several times on medical calls (volunteer firefighter) I'd love to not be able to smell.

I packed up the Jeep for a camping trip this weekend and headed to work this morning. I was thinking about how great it was running and how smooth the ride was when I felt a little hint of a vibration. It seemed to get worse, but I could not really tell. As the light turned green and I began my left turn through the intersection I heard a minor explosion and felt the rear passenger corner jump into the air. I came down hard and then bounced up again and slammed on the brakes. I had no idea what was going on, but I didn't want to move another inch. I was that guy holding up all the traffic until the tow truck made its way through traffic.

I am not able to upload the picture I took.

Nobody got hurt and I stopped before the final wheel stud snapped. Fortunately, once the new studs arrive it will be back on the road. I have another wheel spacer that I used to use for my spare so very minimal $$$ damage.

Had a rough day yesterday. Picked up my TJ that I can't park where I live (HOA rules about having 3 cars). Checked the oil and found this mouse nest. Everything is working so far. I need to drive it more to make sure they didn't chew through the wiring anywhere. Went home and cooked some food on the gas stove. My wife came home 4 hours later, opened the front door and started yelling, "THE GAS IS ON!" She got a headache within 2 minutes and immediately left. Stove was on high with no flame on. I had headaches, sore throat and a little dizziness. About like I feel every day. She wanted to take me to the emergency room, but I pointed out that the damage was done. Nothing they can do. One of the drawbacks of being born with ZERO sense of smell (Congenital Anosmia) I guess. I ordered a natural gas detector this morning so I don't blow up my neighbors. Been there, done that. You're not alone. Thank goodness for our better halves...

Was emptying dishwasher and didn't realize I had knocked one of the stove knobs just enough to open but not to move to 'ignite'.

About an hour later, my wife came home and immediately stated the kitchen stank something awful. Foolish me, I had a candle going in the kitchen, too....

Aiming to get my Savvy skid plate install knocked out this weekend. In my head the order of operations would ideally be MML install, support trans and t case, remove old skid plate, 241 t case cable shifter install, new cross member install, clearancing, and final install. Does this sound right before I make myself a mess of problems?

Replubmbed the rear air chuck today. The old one broke off, the PO had it installed under the bumper. I hit rock and busted it off. I’ve just been using the front one. Not really happy with location, but at least it is on now. I can move it when I decide on the final location.

The ones on pornhub are still gross, but I'd rather see that.

I don't want to know how many mirrors you set up to see a prolapse...

Honestly though, sorry about the crude humor. I do actually have morals 🤣

It's a not too healthy coping mechanism for the messed up stuff I see. Today it was broken bones.

You went 'extreme' - it required my 'slap' of a response ;)

Was it too far for this forum - I'll let @Chris decide but I felt it was right were we are here on the forum.

Now - you owe everyone here an answer on 'what you did to your TJ today' to keep this thread on track — And keep it at PG-13 or safer....

Wow mate … sorry to hear that…. Take care of yourself buddy

Noticed my radiator suddenly developed a steady drip from the drain. Thinking it just came loose, I went to tighten it and the plastic essentially crumbled in my hand. After two trips to autoparts stores who said they have a replacement but didn't I dug around my hardware bin and found a stainless bolt that threaded in the drain hole. Added an o-ring and no leaks after a week of driving.
