What did you do to your TJ today?

I had to replace my windshield a couple of weeks ago. The mirror button that Safelite had on the windshield popped off after about 36 hours with the Wolfbox on it with no damage to the glass, thankfully. I attempted to glue it back on, but even after letting it set for 24 hours without a mirror, it too popped off withing an hour of having the Wolfbox on it. I've got a "better" glue kit to try today, we shall see.

I glued the button on again today (2nd attempt). I went with what is said to be the best glue! Fingers crossed.

I did mine a second time Sunday and put the mirror on yesterday afternoon. I just checked it and it is off again SMH. I am going to make something like this tomorrow. I am tired of messing with it.

Well that went bad- the youngest broke the “dont get near the bank” rule-

I ended up in 4 1/2 feet of water and 4’ below the bank….things can get serious quick.

Lord bless.

Nearly could not get out , shin deep in mud, work boots and a 50lb -3 year old held over my head.

What a mess.

See, everyone worried about the seat-belt and fish hook we're just nervous Nelly's. You were in for a whole different set of troubles no one saw coming!

Not sure how good the photo will turn out since I had to shrink it to post. It’s the standard Bestop black sailcloth, FWIW

Thanks we don’t get a lot of Bestop soft tops down here in New Zealand…. So very difficult to buy something online without seeing it in real life

Screwed in the Wolfbox rear camera to my new spare tire third break light housing.

Glued on the larger mirror puck (2nd time!!!!). I also moved it higher then factory so the cables are not as noticeable. Still need to unclip the visors to adjust them but it’s no worse then before.

Now I need to find a 2.5k*/12v video splitter so I can use one camera for my Wolfbox mirror and also as the back up camera on my Android/Carplay head unit.

*The one shown in the pic won’t pass the 2.5k and says only a black screen will be shown.

I've had the OEM top and a sailcloth RAT. IIRC the OEM top lasted till around 06-07, the Sailcloth was replaced in 14. Since then I've had a Twill Super top NX.

Both OEM and sailcloth tops failed above the doors where the plastic flaps tuck into the door surrounds. They were both up and down a lot in the changeable weather we get in the UK.

The OEM top tore at the end of each flap. The Sailcloth top layer came away from the inside layer of the top along the stitching across those tabs so what was holding the flaps on was very thin. The material was failing the same way along the plastic strips running along the rear side windows.

The Twill is a superb material. It's very supple, and showing no signs of failure after 11 years. Aside from the windows showing 11 years of scratches, and the top needing a good clean, the material is good as new.

If the TJ is a keeper, I'd look at the price difference of a Twill RAT compared to the Sailcloth.

You know guys, most of what we worry about is not what gets us. Its the stuff that blindsides us that gets us.

And I say that humbly…I worry way too much.

After only starting it twice in over 2 months, I actually put gas in it, drove it to a nearby town 15 miles away and tried to make it look clean before parking it miles from my house because of HOA rules. :poop:
Who daF**** lives in a HOA and has a TJ? :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, I couldn't do the HOA thing. I like my rolling hills, open fields, and nature.
