What did you do to your TJ today?

Installed front double adjustable uppers and adjusted pinion angle to try and tame the highway vibration (shocker: it didn’t) and then made some more adjustments to the rears which helped some more. Still have some fine tuning to do to hopefully get it as good as can be.

Also ordered some hella value fit LEDs (led version of hella 500). I think they’re a great option as they’re similar to the oem fog lights while being a good modern value option.

I should have mine repainted in a few weeks when my buddy returns from his overseas vacation. Until then, they're going to stick out like a sore thumb 😁

I'm painting mine myself. Never hurts to learn something new. Already did a repaint on my grill and finishing up the color match on my GR aluminum fenders.

You drive with the liftgate open? I thought that was a bad thing, as it puts a lot of stress on the glass mount areas and could cause the top to crack.

Yes! always......I've driven hundreds of miles worth of driving like that on backroads so I can hear my jeep burble&pop when I'm driving it like a race car 😆
Edit- You made me worry enough to check but I see no sort of cracks or any kinda stress indicators (i.e paint falling off/cracking)....Which is good😅!

More like what did I do to my TJ this week. I may have gone a little autistic on the cleaning….View attachment 613371View attachment 613373View attachment 613372View attachment 613376View attachment 613374View attachment 613375

Ok guys, here’s the finished result as a follow up. I had no idea that my TJ seats were this dirty, and could also get this clean. They actually have color to them! Super pleased with how this turned out and everything smells so fresh.

A perfect opportunity to install the new seat foam prior to assembly?

I considered this, but the factory bolster is still in really good shape. So I left it as is. Though now that I’ve done this once it would be super easy to swap it out knowing what I know now.

Had a productive Saturday afternoon , did the following :
  • Swapped fluid in front and rear diffs, transmission and transfer case
  • moved amp under back seat
  • tossed on the wake speakers that have been sitting in my basement for weeks
  • Put the fox steering stabilizer back on

You should definitely be able to hear your music now!

2005 TJ 4.0 6 speed manual 32” AT Coopers 4” lift

Finally got around to replacing the transmission floor pan seal and shifter boot. Last month when I replaced the clutch and throw out bearing I removed the degraded floor seal; for years I have enjoyed the automatic year round floor heater. I refuse to pay the +$250 replacement floor seal (interior console) so I made my own solution using 10mm rubber; while I had the center console out I painted it and the shifter knob and shift stick. I bought the shifter boot from redline goods (Amazon)“https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QMHN6VK?tag=wranglerorg-20
Excellent quality fits perfectly.
All went well with the repair and the heater is gone; should have done this years ago. View attachment 613613View attachment 613623View attachment 613624View attachment 613621View attachment 613617

Looks great! I absolutely do not miss the hole in my floor pan gasket.

Gotta help a family member move so Installed a hitch on my tj. Not carrying any real weight but enough to warrant a small uhaul trailer. Tow hook nut plate snapped so that was scary using a sawzall next to a fuel tank.
What the heck did you install? I put on a Tomken bumper with an integrated receiver that was rated Class III (3500 pounds). Just to pull my 5x8 utility trailer.

Did you snag that smoking deal in okc a few weeks ago? Those look like the red ones I was late for (possibly because of you).
Actually, I got it in Dallas yesterday. The doors and the soft top in exchange for the hard top and the full doors. Didn't realize there was one in OKC too? This one was listed on Facebook Marketplace.

I just bought a reese tow hitch for my tj. Those integrated receivers have always sketched me out. Yes they prob would be perfectly fine for a small uhaul and a jetski but I am also a big fan of overkill.
