What did you do to your other vehicle today?

Got the BlackMax shocks installed on the JKU.

I can only dream of the rich side of the tracks :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

i took my son to the high plains raceway today. walking around the pits talking to the drivers. $500k car $250k motor home, $100k trailer, then all of the gear. just out for the weekend. fun little side hobbies 😬

Crawler hauler is done. I've got just a few odds and ends left to do before we roll out Thursday morning. I've got to put the TJ on the back while hooked to the truck to see where it is best for it to go. I have more than enough room to put a 4-door JK on there.

It is 11'-7" to the top of the AC unit when hooked to the truck. I do have a B&W companion fifth wheel coming to stabilize the trailer a bit on the road. I was able to get the MorRyde 4 step fold out steps to put in place of the 2 step Lippert unit that came with it. The dual 40# propane tanks are mounted behind the RV. There is 1 spare tire mounted in the gooseneck and 1 mounted under the RV. The RV's spare was on a cable pulley under it so I mounted a second trailer spare in that spot. The TJ spare will be bolted to the trailer behind the camper.

If anyone knows of a good cover to fit a 37" tire and fit tight, let me know. I don't want to let it dry rot from the sun rays.

New brakes on the 2500. These things corrode away into dysfunction long before they actually wear out, including the stupid $85 bracket in FCA’s design that needs to be replaced with pads & rotors. It’s a shame, and a waste of metal. But I’m good now for another couple years.

I flush the frame and underside of my son's Crosstrek every time he visits me in NY from Keene, NH. Looks like a beach with everything that comes out.

Ha! Yeah you should’ve seen the piles of crap that came out when I sledged the old rotors off!
I undercoat my truck annually but it’s a losing battle.

Finally ordered some new fog light bulbs for the pick-up. Went with some yellow LEDs. Hope I like them. I had great luck with my previous bulbs (Phillips Crystal Vision Ultras) but they've discontinued them. Not sure what to go with in the headlights when they go out. I almost ordered the full LED set, but don't know if I want to be that person with LEDs in the factory reflector housings. Not concerned with the fog lights because of their aim/pattern.

Replaced lug nuts on the 2018 Grand Cherokee.

At the last rotation, Discount Tire said they noticed a couple were swollen from corrosion. I got 20 one-pieces from Gorilla Automotive and swapped out the two-pieces. Easy job.

Tore into the 300k mile 2005 F150 5.4l to retrieve the timing chain guides and hopefully get another 100k after a timing job.

Ugh. One engine I dislike more than my first-gen, 2-valve 5.4L Triton is the second-gen, 3-valve 5.4L Triton. Of course, I don't dislike the first-gen enough to sell my Expedition. :ROFLMAO: May the force be with you!

Edited to soften the language. Hate is such a strong word...

Too bad they never made a 460 Expedition .

Two piece sheathed lug nuts are ass

Yea. When I first got my Jeep, I took it to Discount for a re-balance. They had to use a 6 foot breaker bar to get the rusted on lug nuts off - I'm amazed that the studs didn't break. $40 later and it had new stainless nuts all around.

Nice torquey engine, but very heavy, and not really up to modern fuel-injection needs... Lightweight (aluminum block and heads, please!) and fuel-injection are about the only modern amenities I like on an engine.

Isn't a Expedition like 6500-7000 lbs. ?
Need 850 h.p. , All Aluminum , injected , blown ? maybe a 540 c.i.d. BBC is the huge dollar answer . :D
