First post on the forum. I am wrapping up restoration on my 2004 Wrangler Willys. During resto we determined we needed a new windshield. Bought a used OEM that came with interior plastic surround. My Willys came without surround or visors for that matter. The available OEM visors are about 2.5” too long. The mounting holes are factory set up with the little centering peg hole on the edge and then 1 screw to connect. This is my first Jeep. Learned a lot and still learning. Thanks!!

So you swapped the entire windshield frame instead of removing the window?

I'd swap back to your original frame and swap the windshields. It's just urethane and a rubber surround.

Early TJs don't have the plastic trim and use one visor. Laters have the trim and use a different visor.

Those imaged visors don't look OEM but instead, Omix/Taiwan aftermarket replacements. Those are sold as Omix, Rugged Ridge, Hhiles and maybe others. Online reviews report Omix visors have fitment problems for some buyers (too long overall latching rod). Omix had/has some packaging errors (RH passenger side actually LH driver), but once I got the correct pair, they fit fine on my windshield header.

BTW, welcome!

Hey Mac. Good catch. I actually wanted to change the frame. It was from an earlier model than my 04 and had more holes drilled into it than a pound of wood cheese. No clue what they were up to over the years. The new used OEM frame came with the interior surround but no visors. Thanks

Thanks Dirt Dog. Will look into those. Wish I could find used OEM ones but will go with these for sure. Thanks!
