I am in the process of gathering the vacuum line and connectors to replace all the vacuum lines in my engine bay. Reason being, they crack when touched, so I’d rather get them brand new than do constant repairs. It seems like most vacuum line available is of the soft type, and most connectors are of the hard plastic type. This is opposite to the Jeep’s, which uses hard plastic line and soft connectors and elbows. I’m sure I could swap it over to soft hose to have more parts available to me, but I want to keep it set up close to the original parts if possible. For this reason, I’m going to use 5/32” plastic vacuum tubing, which matches the factory outside diameter of the existing line.

I have heard very mixed reviews on the quality of connectors, with multiple people saying the dorman elbows don’t hold up. I’m not too concerned about the line and connectors in the engine bay, since they are easily accessible, but pretty soon I’ll be opening up the dash to replace the heater core, and may replace the line and connectors inside the firewall. The colored tube vacuum limes of the HVAC system are fine, I just want to replace the black line and connectors, since they are getting old and brittle.

Inside the engine bay, there are 4 sections of line, a hard T connector, a soft T connector, 3 soft connecting sleeves, 2 hard check valves, and 3 soft elbows. And whatever else is in the firewall.

Anyway, I was looking for specific part recommendations if possible. I can’t find a complete new harness since they are discontinued, and I don’t want to buy a used one, since it will be very old at this point. Recommendations on brand/parts for elbows, T connectors, connecting sleeves, and such would be a massive help.

I second the Dorman assortments. I've used those for various vacuum line projects.
