Turbo Kit Test TJ

Dragging up an old thread BUT was there any progress/success here?

Yes, we have had the kits for sale a while now. I would guess that we have sold around 20 or so. There are a few members here that purchased kits, but quite a few shipped out and I haven't heard anything since. We also have installed a handful here for our local customers as well. My fabricator just welded up 2 more kits last week that are at powdercoat currently and will be assembled and ready to ship in a few weeks. We do ship to Australia and have a good amount of customers there as well.

I thought you had said the kit would not work with RHD? Is my recollection flawed?

That's a good point. Although we have not tried it, I would guess that based on the location of the steering alone on the RHD models the kit would not fit.

Jezza: I've been looking for a turbo kit for a TJ for a while. I'm actually not ready to buy today, but how do I find you?

Excellent. The TJ kit doesn't come up on the site for me, I'll call when I'm ready. I appreciate you doing this.

The link works fine for me so I'm not sure why you can't get it to come up.

Ive been tempted to go down this rabbit hole for two reasons.

Turbo
I live less than 20 minutes from the shop

Is it a worthwhile investment into my bone stock jeep? Maybe not..... as I still want to regear, go to bigger tires, get a 2-3" lift (And replace my crappy soft top)

Id love to see the kit in person sometime just to see how nicely packaged it is vs some joe blow who rerouted the exhaust and stuck a turbo where the air box should be.

I just tried the link and it opened for me not sure what the issue may be.

My cache was cleared when I tried opening your product page in your signature (using chrome on my Mac).

It took me to you website, but the page was blank (no body or description of what should have been on the page). I clicked the link again and it worked.

I can’t help beyond that but thought you might want that info cost in case it matters.

My turbo (Banks) performs similarly to his kit on the highway (based on sharing data with one of his customers in here).

I would not want a stock 4.0L as a daily driver after experiencing how much better things can be (the turbo fills the power voids that I used to put up with but didn’t enjoy).

You don't need to understand or worry about it.

We provided the info to @jr1parsons and @Jezza (as he'd likely want to know if his website is potentially acting up).

Not worried about it..

I'd stop by his shop if I was that close just to drool all over the stuff he's making.

I really need to stop by..... I pass it every morning on my way to work...

Maybe I will actually be convinced to upgrade my stock jeep with 3.07 gears....... its SLOW.

I don't go for the "a re-gear will give you all the power you need" sentiment, but you would be wise to re-gear before attempting to add more power through the likes of a turbo. It won't help much if you are lugging around.

The first rig I got had a 32RH with 33s and 3.07 gears. A re-gear and turbo would have made it a fun little monster.
