Trying to remove EVAP canister

So evap basically is a tank vent that runs through a charcoal cannister before allowing "harmful fumes" to vent to atmosphere.

Basically so your Jeep doesn't stink like gas

So you can cap off those lines...but...where does the air go... some of it goes up the fill neck when fueling... solenoid only runs when the engine is on and in closed loop. (Or open, I get those confused...warmed up and reading sensors )

I've modified a lot on my 97 but I'm leaving my evap alone. Doesn't take that much room. And I don't like gas fumes.

You'd also need HP Tuners, take the emissions class to get your unlock certificate, to delete from the PCM.

P S. If you did something else with those lines consider using them as a return system for fuel. Lot of modifications needed but your fuel would be so much cooler.

I am deleting the evap system on my LS 5.3 swap, so not sure what to do with tthese lines.

I hope I’m not jacking this thread, but I have that same connection (to the canister) where the white locking part is missing. The connection keeps loosening and throwing the CEL. Where to get a fix for the connector?
Thanks

Have you tried Davey's Jeep or Dead Jeep?

I think I fit a thin zip tie through the fitting and pulled it tight. Has been that way for awhile now. Worth a try,
