So I just sold some of my surplus equipment and added a chunk of money into my FU account. I’m going to use some of that to get a SwayLoc for the TJ. I have JKS clone disconnects now and they are a pain to put back on for street use. I have a few questions on installation and maintenance procedures and installation for the SwayLoc. I saw a YouTube video where the guy was saying that he frequently has to replace some plastic bushings on his LK. It looked like a DD and I put less than 5K a yr. What type of maintenance is needed on the SwayLoc?
I need to remove my bumper to paint it and I don’t think my after market bumper will interfere. I saw a previous post where Mr Blain suggested using threaded rod to pull the pieces together. What other tips do you have? I know the SwayLoc is pricy but who tends to have it at the lowest price? Also while I have the bumper off I’m going to reroute the winch wires. The PO have them going through a factory hole and it’s too small with no grommet and I’m afraid they’ll wear through and short out. How did you route yours?
Next FU money goes to some good off road lights and possibly a lift for the shop.
