Summit seat foam review

Don’t forget you can use bartacts until you get the covers - If I’m not mistaken that’s been done more than once

Are you willing to wait 4 months?

I placed an order on Oct 13th for a set of seat covers from them. Very simple custom order - center orange insert and black color for the logo, that's it. Initial lead time was 4-6 weeks. I called them this morning and they haven't even started on it yet. Note that I had called them around middle of Nov, then middle of Dec and I have been pretty patient. I have gotten "We are moving, "your order is 2-3 weeks out", "We are slammed with orders for the holidays" and so on. I told them today if I don't get a realistic ETA I will be cancelling the order.

I had considered ordering a set (mostly to protect the factory covers) but I've seen a number of posts similar to this elsewhere, which makes me very apprehensive...

Good point.

They are slow as Christmas on what they should stock- can’t imaging the colored ones,etc- my buddy ordered the Rubicon Logo ones- took forever.

Where else did you see it?

I've just seen posts on other forums similar to yours over the past few months, people stating long delays and canned responses to order inquiries coming from Bartact. Quite possibly a few posts here as well.

Got it. It's just disappointing to see them be this way, they used to be just really good in the past. The product is still good (I am hoping).

I'd actually like a set in straight black of their best model cover (nothing custom) and I have no issue paying their asking price, but I'm really not keen on waiting 6 months to see them.

Speaking of...I'm probably over 4 months out now on two sets of door pulls from Quadratec...they send a canned email every couple of weeks stating they're working hard to fulfill my order...

Also Savvy....

What Type of material is between the foam and the frame? It’s a thin white fiber sheet. I’ve tried to google it but have had no luck. Mine has a few holes in it so I’d like to replace it.

Since this thread got bumped to the top, I'll chime in as well. Had the driver side lower seat foam in my cart for a while, but switching to the TJ as my summer daily moved this repair up the "to do" list. As mentioned, it took me roughly an hour to swap out the crumbling, broken-down foam for the new Summit seat.

Cannot emphasize enough how much better the experience of driving is now. Literally feels like a new vehicle!

It's the best money and time that I have put into my 03 Rubicon. It made a dramatic improvement.

You guys have very low standards. Do you have wives telling you to say these things because their "extra padded asses" require thicker seats?
