Stuck steering knuckle tricks?

Got a link?
If you haven't already purchased an Amazon kit online or tried to use washers, Advance has a good rental tool linked below that works with TJ's and has the angled piece.

Not sure where you are in Georgia, but looks like there are Advance stores various places. We rented and used this specific Powerbuilt kit when we did ball joints a couple of weeks ago:

TRQ normally has fairly good how to Youtube videos but the one for ball joints had a couple of issues - the guy busts a ball joint trying to press it out incorrectly and kind of glosses over how to get the beveled cup set correctly.

The BFH Garage video is WAY better at showing how to get a press set up with the angled piece. It's not hard once you monkey with it, but getting the press straight makes the pressing out and pressing in go much easier. I think he's a member on here, this video we found to be great with closeups and explanations:

Good luck.

Edited to add - +1 on using your biggest hammer on the knuckles and they'll drop off. Beat on it with a framing hammer and zero success, 2 whacks choked up on an 8 lb sledge and it dropped off. We replaced the knuckles too, so wasn't worried about hitting them hard, but they're pretty tough.

The or any press will do the same to yokes on axle shafts. U-joints should only ever be changed out via the hammer method. Anything else is going to increase the risk of unfixable damage.
