I'm looking to replace the Zone 4" springs. My goals for the springs are good road manners, and good flexibility off road.

I would like to stay in the 4-5" lift range. I will be keeping the 33's until they wear out, then adding a 1" body lift and 35's.

Any recommendations?

Shocks should be your focus. Pull your shocks and drive around the block on just the springs. You’ll find that it is super soft and feels like you’re driving a pogo stick. I did this with my Old Man Emu HD springs and it was crazy how soft and bouncy it is.

If you spend some time reading related threads here, you'll realize that your goals are achieved by better shocks, not different springs.

If your ride height is where you want it, keep the springs and replace your shocks.

I've read through several threads on springs.

I know my shocks are limiting my down travel. Shocks are getting replaced too, just have to get the long arms installed so I can measure for shocks. I'vw got bar pin eliminators to go on so I'll have more shock selection.

Long arms do not change shock travel or influence the ride quality. Bar pin eliminators typically reduce shock travel. Up travel is more valuable to maintain and create than down travel is.

If more people did exactly this, these types of spring questions would go away.

Basically what everyone is saying is you’re just not going to find the springs that are going to be life-changing as far as your ride quality- They are basically holding up the four corners of the vehicle- Hopefully at your desired elevation.

Unlike a motorcycle shock there is no correlation to the shock valving and the spring rate that can be applied to an automobile with four corners and drastically more weight.

And it’s really not only the shocks but even the position of the shocks relative to the frame and axle that can radically alter the ride experience- outbounding is the prime example.

You will see that there are situations where springs do get weak and eventually need to be replaced- That is just metal fatigue I guess.

If I’m not explaining this accurately anybody is more than welcome to correct me
