Shoot, late to this party. My days off at the moment are Sun-Tues until the end of the month before a temporary work assignment in Salem.

I did manage to go up Anderson Butte on a last minute run with a co-worker earlier today. Started up around 9am and came back around 1pm to a shit show of crashes and vehicles in ditches driving back home. A lot of stopping and assisting took place

Guy is out of town and worried about his wife and dog. They're 11 miles up Dead Indian Memorial rd, which is unplowed. I measured 13" of snow at my house and the're much higher so I don't know if we'll even make it but I'm willing to try!

"Thank you. She has a wood stove, water, and might be out of food in the next day or so.

If I can't find a service to get her out I will let you know and see if you're able to make it up the mountain. The neighbors I've managed to contact have said the road is not plowed so getting up is near impossible."

We're thinking of running the 6010 Road out of Crescent, OR on Sunday if anyone wants to join us. Plenty of room at our place if anyone wants a place to crash the night before or after...we're doing an RV cleanup on Saturday in fact if you really want an experience.

Haven't set a time yet because I don't know if y'all are interested and if we have folks coming from farther afield we can go around 10 or 11 am.

Got another 4' of fresh snow! And early next week they're forecasting a high of 80!
This might be that last good chance to find powder. Heading up Saturday morning with a local buddy in a JKU on 37s if anyone wants to join.

Local FB group is doing a snow run this weekend out of Talent. I'm looking to go and hope there will be plenty of snow! We haven't had much this year so far.

"Planning a Snow Run up to Dutchman Lookout, on Saturday Nov 29.
Here is the general route planned: Meet @ 8am at the Talent Truck Stop, head up Wagner Creek to Wagner Gap, out FS22 to FS20. Once on the FS20, head to Dutchman, and possibly to Donomore Cabin, before heading back down to Applegate Rd via Beaver Creek or Squaw Mountain.
Current snow cover starts @ about 5000' elevation, and the approximate highest elevation on FS20 is 7000'.
There should be opportunities for sledding/tubing, especially if we go to Donomore Cabin.
Should make for a fun run of about 6-8hrs.
You would need a rig appropriately outfitted for un-plowed Forest Service roads (estimating up to 24"), with good snow rated tires, recovery points (front and rear), and recovery gear.
You will also need to be prepared for travel in these conditions by bringing your own: personal snow gear, blankets, water, food, ect."

Came out to a flat tire and crunched fender this morning. Looks like some wood got jammed between the bead and rim.

Right away. The little tires were great for the main run, but when we split I followed another 99 chili pepper red TJ on 35s for some much more advanced trails. This turned out to be the toughest non-snow wheeling I"ve ever done! Stuff I wouldn't have tried if I didn't see a similar rig do it first! I wished my boggers were on for that!
I'll post video once I get it uploaded.

The flat tire should be fine once I pull clean that wood off the bead. The front fender in the same pic got a bit crunched. The other side front was already cracked and patched before I got the jeep, so I had already been looking at replacements. When I went to wash the mud off I noticed the rear flair may have gotten a little too close to a tree as well...
