Yes and no. You already figured out that the cost of the individual parts is almost as much as a new one so why not just buy the new one and have new to swap back in?
Parts in a kit are always cheaper than the sum of the individual parts, that's how it works.
Got a gent trying to by just the reinforcement bracket out of the hydro assist kit. Oh, I might need the cover plate. Maybe build me an invoice with the cover plate and the misalignment spacers.
Dude, by the time I add all that up, it is going to cost the same as the bracket kit. I don't want the draglink clamp. Okay fine, buy the kit and I'll remove the clamp. That's not fair. That is right, it isn't and neither is trying to get me to break up a kit and sell you pieces that wind up being the same price as the kit. Just buy the kit and sell off the clamp or keep it as a spare, same money either way.
By the time I build a custom kit, it is faster to just open one up and steal the clamp out of it and send the rest.
FYI, I'm not sticking up for Derale, I'm just explaining that poor service is based on perception.
