Rockjock spring question

Looking at the Rockjock 4" springs front and rear on BB, I didn’t notice much front droop when I put the winch on, but after the north Georgia ride they seem to be drooping and I noticed tire rub on the N Georgia trail run.

I'm asking and being me, I will probably call Rockjock Monday some time.

Which Rockjock springs should I order.

I want to keep 4" of lift at sometime in the future I will add a WRG body lift.

Point me in the right direction please.

Have you relocated your rear spring perch?

Right now I'm on 33 12.50 15 eventually going to 35 12.50 15

15x8 Quadratec wheels, no spacers and no rubbing now.

No one the relocation of the spring perch.

Which picture would you like

Backspacing on the wheels or a part number we can look up?

Pictures of the suspension setup would help. Hard to see your front end under 3' of muddy water. =)

Its got a 4" RC lift with Metalcloak double adjustable control arms, RC adjustable front track bar.

Still have the OEM skidplate.

Not sure of the back spacing but the 33 12.50 15 don't rub anything now.

I'm just asking about the 4" lift springs. Cause mine are old RC springs and starting to sag.

I haven't measured them since I bought BB from @AndyG lord I have had BB going on 3 years so I can't remember what they measured, just know it was 4" over stock.

Well I had Procomp 4" lift springs and replaced them with Currie 4" springs and gained two inches.

I have some LJ rear springs if someone wants them. I need some TJ rears to replace them.

The only thing that chart tells you is that the factory coils measure about 12" front and 8" rear at the normal ride height. Anything above those measurements is the lift height.

You need to start with identifying whether or not you want or need to adjust the ride height.

The tire rub is a separate, but related, phenomena from the ride height that largely concerns the relationships between the shock travel bias, tire size/width, wheel backspacing. The question to answer is what, where and when the rubbing occurs and is it something that needs to be addressed.

Rubbing only occurs with up and down motion on the front end, like dropping off a ledge.

It started after the Warn HS9.5 install. Before that there was no rubbing.

That's what made me think that day it was a weight issue and then I looked front to rear and do have front spring sag. We are going to ride Coalmont OHV this coming weekend so I will have some of the others watch for me.

After this ride springs and shocks will be replaced before I hit the trail again.

I will try to get the spring heights this afternoon, but they are coming out no matter what.

Changing the ride height will not fix that rub without also addressing the shock's travel bias. Shocks determine the suspension travel. Or a smaller tire could be used.

Or identify what specificly the tire is rubbing at full shock compression and decide if it matters. If the tire is contacting the flexible fender flare, then don't worry about it. If the tire is mashing into sheet metal and tearing up the fender and tire, then there is something to consider addressing.
