Removable Shorty Step

I accidentally lifted my Jeep more than expected now my wife cant get in its uh kinda hard to watch.
Does anyone make detachable steps that I can use when my Shorty is riding shotgun then removable all other times?

Somebody makes a "stirrup" that will flip in and out as needed for just that purpose.

Lord I knew what you had done before I read the post..... my shorty is gonna have the same problem when I remove the tube steps and install sliders. Thought about making her a rope ladder......

After lifting the my jeep 4", then the body lift and now the 35's, my sweet thing is severely challenged. Solution for me was the stirrup step, I made a steel bracket that attached to the bottom of the seat frame, attached the stirrup and she is good to go, put one on both sides since she likes to drive also. If you like I can post some pictures and the name of the stirrup I used. You can also source stirrups and material and fabricate you own, quite easy.

Googling "jeep stirrup step" will get you a few commercial options as well.

The company that made my step is Aspen Adrenaline, out of Aspen Colorado, many lengths and colors, I went with black.

I have one of these for my wife, just hooks over edge of tub... she can climb in, and pull it in behind her.

Mine came with the hook and rubber backing to do that but we found they would slide along the tub if you weren't careful so I anchored them and they are very stable.

Personally I am not a fan of the stirrup ones as the move around when you use them. I bought a set of Carr steps and mounted them to a piece of flat stock. Then drilled them and then drilled and tapped the underside of my Rock Slider w/ for a 3/8" bolt. This way I can remove them when I hit the trails, and reinstall when driving around town.

That was exactly what my wife said when I got them, after I anchored them she has no problem, we did a run in the mountains yesterday and she was in and out all day with no problems. I was considering some steps to mount under the tub but will be mounting the savvy slider/steps when they come out of the paint shop so went with the stirrups.

I was trying to think who did this modification with those steps. I like that idea a lot.

She could have done it years ago, but without going into her health too much, tremors and balance issues effect her these days and it’s hard for her to get in/out of all of our vehicles. She was just joking around about her current situation. I’m always asking/showing her about new and different ways of getting in and out as I come across them. She doesn’t feel anything would make it easier for her specifically. That’s the main reason I didn’t add my body lift and stuck with 31’s. I even went as far as putting the step rails back on that came with the Jeep to see if it helped her but she said it actually felt harder to use them, so back off they came.
