Got a new project in the garage that drives odd.

2004 Sport, almost rust free. 129k on the clock. One of the nearly dozen POs put a budget 2" lift on it. Looks old.

When driving at any speed any quick steering input makes the rear of the vehicle wiggle. If feels very unstable but its drivable.

It had oem sized tires that were rough, after changing out to new rubber no difference.

It feels like bad rear track bar bushing.

Its about to go on jack stands to install a 2.5 spring lift and every suspension part. New oem style control arms, track bars, shocks, sway bar links and bushings. Hope that fixes it but would like to be on the look out for the cause to be sure I correct.

Anyone have similar wiggly rear?

Btw thanks for all the content. Been a lurker for about a year. This is my 7th jeep build, second TJ.

Thanks George

I think I'll hold off answering until you slowly put the loaded parts canon down.

That being said...yes, I agree with your choices...

If you don't narrow it down to the specific part causing the problem before you replace everything, you'll never know.

Pry against the track bar joints, and every other joint, find the mushiest one. Replace that part first and test drive, until you nail the culprit.

Then fire the parts canon. :)
