Good Morning fellow Jeep People
Quick question, I'm about to start a full overhaul of cooling system. I would like to verify the correct p/n for the mopar radiator 55037652AA? Amazon and Wermopar say that is not correct for my 2001 Sahara with manual trans.

Hey there! I tagged you in a post in the Resources section. There is a parts list there you can download for your year. Here is a screen shot I took of the 2001...

I read that thread first thats the part numbers i used to begin searching... But wermopar, amazon, rockauto, etc. says thats is not correct for my jeep. Should I just buy parts based on the info from the overhaul thread or use what the various sites say to use?

Weird, when I look up your 2001 on WeRMopar, it says 52080184AC is the correct part number.

However, it also shows another radiator that is no longer available, and makes no mention whatsoever of which one is for automatics, and which one is for manuals.

I will say however you can use the automatic transmission radiator on a manual, just not vice versa. This is because the radiator for automatics has a small portion of the radiator on the bottom dedicated to cooling the transmission fluid. On a manual this portion simply doesn't get hooked up.

I can find the radiator that was recommended in the cooling overhaul thread 55037652AA but fitment says its for a 2002 not 2001 and its a heck of alot cheaper, but not sure if it is correct. Should I just trust what wermopar says is the correct parts and base my purchases of that?

Trust what Wermopar says. I may have made an error when creating that cooling system thread unfortunately.

There were enough changes from 97-01 and then 02-06 to make me doubt the 2002 radiator would bolt right up without issue.

Yeah looks like the ones originally for the 2001 have been discontinued and replaced with the 55037652

Ok....when I go to mopar america it says that 55037652AA which you originally stated, is the correct radiator for my jeep. Im going to cross reference the rest of the parts and see if they match up to parts in the overhaul thread.

Well, Im going to start ordering based on what the Mopar America site says instead of wermopar. With the exception of thermostat use super stant 195, Should I stay with mopar parts on everything else like coolant temp sensor, hoses, fan clutch etc.?

Well Chris, turns out 55037652AA issue correct radiator after all, it was identical to the original. Thanks for your help.
