Hello, I have a 2020 Rubicon Gladiator and have always loved the TJ's for their size and nimbleness. I recently picked up a 2005 TJ and have an image in mind. First thing I noticed was how loud and hot the interior got from the pans and trans tunnel. Decided to make it the way I want, so this is the beginning of my build. Stay tuned for updates.

Starting to remove the interior:

The new carpet arrived today, will be picking up the jute for added insulation tomorrow. In the mean time, figured I would spend some time getting the center console restored instead of just painting it. Also ordered a new lock cylinder and latch assembly for the console lid.

Awesome, looking forward to following along. It’s always great seeing these things get restored.

So far, looks great. Interested in what else you have in mind.

Same haha. Who knows, I have a Best Top Super Top Twill on the way, brake lines etc. Ordered the reverse wiring harness so I can fix what previous owner hacked up. Get a radio installed, then I'll worry about exterior.

Brought the rear seat brackets to work to sand blast and wire wheel before painting. Sand blaster was giving me issues, but they are ready for paint.
