Hello Everyone
Been hanging out here for a few awhile doing research. Big thanks to those that have posted so much useful information. Thought it was finally time to introduce myself and the TJ I named the Wet Banana. I live in Bradenton FL and I'm the GM of Chin Track Days. I love cars so much that my full time job is in motorsports. I've owned a Gladiator since 2020. That was my first Jeep. I fell in love with it. I decided I needed another Jeep for a project. A TJ made the most sense as it's a "classic" looking Jeep with a more modern suspension. I found and bought this Solar Yellow 2004 Sport, 4.0 MT. Having a blast tinkering with little things. The first thing I noticed was a driveline vibration. A significant one. I thought to myself, "that's not a huge problem. Just change U-joints, right?" Wrong. The pinion bearing in the rear diff had left the chat. Replacing that cured most of the driveline vibration. The front DS did have a failed U-joint that I replaced. The Banana is now rolling relatively smoothly on the Gladiator's donor wheels and tires.
I am seriously considering doing an LS swap. I think I've read every page of Novak's website and chose this configuration TJ as I thought it would be best candidate for the swap.
I haven't taken a recent count, but I believe this is my 71st different car that I've owned.
