Talk to your insurance agent to find out how to file a "diminished value claim." I found out about those after a lady ran a stop sign and t-boned my wife's car. I was advised by our agent to file a second "diminished value" claim, after the repairs were done, to recoup the lost value from having a car tainted with a crash history. I don't know the full process because the one thing in life I lack the most is time. Since we drive our cars forever, resale doesn't matter to me. Anticipating that the process wouldn't be as simple as putting my hand out and having cash deposited in it, we elected to not worry about it.

Glad to see you walked away. I've never had to pursue it, but I've heard of people recovering some of that loss through a "diminished value" claim against the insurance. This is something in addition to the repair of the vehicle. Look into it, it might be worth pursuing, seeing how new that car looks to be.

Once in a while wouldn't be bad.... FUCK once a month would be barely tolerable but EVERY TIME something happens that you deem might be related to a phone we all have to listen to you rant about them... Yep I'd imagine that there isn't a single person that reads 10% of your posts that doesn't know how you feel about phones and the evils of the phone....

This works. Was getting some work done on the wife’s NEW car and they rear ended someone. I barely got the diminished value out of my mouth and they had the check written. Rather them just not wreck the car. Tainted now
They came up with the number. I wasn’t out to gouge all I could outta them so I just took the money and put it in the bank. I’m petty sure a lawyer could’ve squeezed more out of them. That’s just not me.
The insurance company for the modification car people. We were trying to get some film put on the front of the car after finding too many rock chips in the paint. The car mod company was driving the car to a painter to get the chips repaired when the pregnant employee rammed into the person in front of them.
I tried to open the rear passenger door it won't budge. I wonder what they will say tomorrow when I take it to the collision center.
Driving home from the shop yesterday had a guy run a stop sign while I was turning left. 4 lane city street, guy facing me in #1 lane got there before me. I stopped and waited for him to clear the intersection then proceeded to turn. Idiot going full speed in the opposing #2 lane runs the stop. I saw him coming and slammed on the brakes, stoped in the #1 lane and laid on the horn. He veered to the right, jumped the curb and slammed into a precast cement fence that was just put up a few months ago.
The thing is that there were 2 people in the truck and just me in mine. They could have easily lied and said I caused it. I ordered a camera for the truck and will install it when it gets in. I have one on the Wife’s car but never bothered to put one on my truck. When I had my bee business I had cameras on all the trucks. It came in handy the 2 times I was hit in my F550. I totaled both with little damage to me thankfully. Both hit my front driver side wheel and along with the repairs got a settlement for pain to my thumb when the steering wheel violently spun. People have no regard for traffic rules. I see people running stop signs and lights almost every day around here.

Big bucks. We had a guy back his Mustang into the side of one of our Civics last year. Very minor damage, small dent, big scratch, and it got some of the mirror too. The body shop charged his insurance $2,600
