I see quarter, trunk, lights, bumper and bumper cover replacement. The rear/trunk bulkhead will have to be pulled, so time on the frame machine. If the quarter contacted the door, there is likely damage to the door, maybe full replacement. I say $7-10K assuming the bags didn't blow and that back glass isn't broken.

When my VW got hit and looked something like that it was 13k, and still wasn't right when I got it back
Some people think Altimas should all be totaled. I disagree I happen to love/loved my car.
The guy who hit my car, his insurance is paying for a rental car. The rental is a Hyundai Elantra seems nice so far.
Its about the value of the car vs the cost to repair. Not if someone likes it or not.

Collision center told me that the damage was right on the line of total vs repair, they will let me know what the insurance company decides.
That's a lot of work to fix that unibody.
Hopefully they total it... That car ain't gonna be "right" ever again
I'd have guessed it would be totaled, based on your photos. Between vehicle value depreciation, parts prices, labor costs and the markup on both, it doesn't take much to total a car out anymore.
Hopefully they do total it and you get a decent sum in return to buy another.

I agree, but will the insurance company pay out enough to buy an equal replacement. That's the problem I've run into.
The crux of the biscuit. Hate to see him not get enough, but also hate to see him having to operate a heavily repaired vehicle.
True... But I'd rather have a handful of cash than be left holding the bag of a POS car that was supposed to be "fixed"
