I have not, and as much as I'd like to think I have a high pain threshold with a very open mind, I'm fairly confident I'd be proven incorrect on both counts in very short order.
Just put me in charge of the obsolete shit. Both of my jobs I ended up being the expert on all the old stuff that nobody else knew anything about.

I can see some knucklehead mounting them with the markers pointing in.. maybe.
However, there's a notch milled in the back of the driver side for the plate light.. That's isn't a good enough indicator as to which side is which?
No sir, there is a notch or groove for the plate light wires milled in the left side. Passenger and driver's sides swap back and forth between left hand drive and right hand drive vehicles. Left and right never change.
Got the tails installed today. Took me a bit longer than normal since my wires were trapped by the evap canister that is located on the RH side of the vehicle on the later models. Pain in the ass...
I also took the opportunity to remove my CB anntena mount...will have to weld up the leftover hole eventually, but its fine for now. Matches the 4 holes for the License plate mounts, LOL. Someday soon, I will be getting some Corner Armor.

I had a similar issue. It took me 5 minutes after @mrblaine told me how to fix it.

These are much nicer than the MaxBilt TrailTails. The camera flash shows the retro reflectors, as well.
And the side markers are quite noticable and will be good to have for extra turn signal visibility.
Anyone with concerns about room with the ExoGate hinges need not worry. There is plenty of space when the backing plate is not used. No modifications needed.

Yea, but is that R & L facing the front, or the rear?
Doesn't matter, there is only one left and one right side and they never change. For them that may be directionally challenged, when you fire up the rig and flip the turn signal to indicate a left turn, the side with the little blinky light is the left side.
