New Tool Day

For some (8mm and 19mm come to mind), that works just fine. Both of those are so close in size (i.e., 19mm = .748 inches) that production tolerances in the fastener, combined with those of the sockets, make it so that an SAE 3/4" nut may actually have a tighter fit inside a 19mm socket than a 3/4" socket. Those two being common lug nut sizes, I don't pick a socket based on metric vs. SAE, I pick it based on which socket is tighter. ;)

Great advice. Also applies to dating.

Holy moly this thing is big and heavy. But yay new tools

I'd rivet a 3/8 aluminum plate under that case and four castors. =)

I bought an extra harbor freight deep impact socket set for my trash pickup box. Figured I wouldn't need anything bigger than 15/16 so I left some at home. Immediately ran into a piece of stolen guard rail that was 1 1/4".

Crazy timing. I just decided to re-stock my roll pin punches (existing ones are beat up), OCD style, but I went with 'mercan made. Two of these sets arrived this week, and the last one is out for delivery tomorrow:

These ones are stamped USA. Tekton offers a point/reward system, so these were $14 shipped which was nice
