Found this on sale for $130, couldn’t pass.

Update on an old post from a couple weekends ago - I got the second vacuum installed in the blast cabinet this morning:

As you can see, I didn't have an exact paint match for the baffle I had SendCutSend make for me. Incidentally, it's the same color I used to paint my step sliders and gas tank skid.

These vacuums draw over 10 amps each, so when I find a permanent home for the blaster, I'll either need to put in a 240VAC plug for it, or wire two outlets on separate breakers just to run it. For now, I'm using an extension cord across the shop to use two breakers.

After a lifetime of using the English fractional measuring system on most things I decided that metric was easier to work with for a lot of things. One of my cabinet builders showed me this tape measure so I ordered one and I really like it. It has metric and standard, a pencil sharpener, a sort of dry erase board to write on with a pencil, the standard lock and also a momentary lock button the the bottom that just happens to be right exactly where you need it.

I’m doomed, ACME is now a a few minutes away

Back about twenty years ago, when we lived in Roseau, we used to make the two-hour trip (one-way!) to Grand Forks once a month for provisions because Roseau was slim-pickin's for most things. At the time, Acme Tools was called Acme Electric - Tool Crib of the North. They were a regular stop for me. When they re-branded as Acme Tools and expanded their online presence, I was pleased to be able to re-kindle my relationship with them. I'll bet about half my recent Milwaukee purchases have been with them. I can't imagine being five minutes away...

Mrs App when we walked in “this is going to be dangerous”

They have stuff I’d never seen before.

I made it out without a purchase but I did look at every sale sign to see if it was something I didn’t know I needed.
