New Tool Day

Decided to pick up a m12 3/8" ratchet today. The 2.0ah battery leaves a lot to be desired

I've been meaning to get the marital version for a while to completely eliminate air tools from the wrenching arsenal. Does it have decent power?

It could be the battery I'm using, it's got enough power to cinch things down but I've been following up with a few turns on a regular ratchet and/or torque wrench

I'm wanting to go to the US General 56" series 3 for my next box.

I have the Series 2 versions of the top and bottom boxes. I bought the bottom used (Craigslist), and then bought the top box with a 30% coupon. The only issue I have with them is the warranty is only 90 days. I did have a drawer slide on the upper puke its ball bearings about 6 months into ownership. One thing about HF is you can buy spare parts for reasonable prices, but it takes months to get them because they order them from China. I ordered four slides (good to have spares), and I want to say it was about 3 months to get them. Other than that small, just inconvenient issue (the drawer still opened and closed with only a little extra effort with the balls missing!), it's every bit as good as my old Craftsman boxes.

I have 2 US General boxes. One is a 56” with a 44” top and the other is a 30” mechanics cart. I love them compared to my Craftsman boxes.
Because I’m signed up for their emails I get a lot of 20% coupons and a 30% on one item every quarter which I use for higher priced items.

I have a lot of M-12 stuff and I can tell you that the XC 4.0ah battery is what you need. https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-48...ded-Capacity/dp/B00BYFO1AA?tag=wranglerorg-20

The little batteries are OK for drills and drivers but they just don't have enough umphf for things like ratchets, mini sawzalls and mini band saws. Also, is that battery a genuine Milwaukee or a knock off? I only ask because I tried the knock offs and they were not great, and the bottom plastic piece falls off as well.

You want the high output versions

I do need to invest in a bigger M12 battery for sure. The 2.0ah originally came with my stubby impact from Home Depot, along with a 4.0ah, so not a knock off. At the time the 4.0ah was in my impact so all I had was the 2.0ah for this new ratchet.

I used to have a Milwaukee jobsite radio and it used to chap my ass that my helper would grab the best battery first thing in the morning for the radio. I let it go though because he was such a good worker.
