New Tool Day

Link? I'm seeing $179

Add the bundled batteries, they are two different SKUs. Pickup the inflator locally, set the batteries to pickup elsewhere, and don’t pick up or cancel after you’ve picked up the inflator. Effective price $110

Ok so today I went to Harbor Freight to get a Creeper because 90% of my tools and my Creeper are at work.

Walked in looking to spend $20 or so dollars and $106.00 later Walked out.

Here is what I picked up.

Went to Harbor Freight to get a Rip Saw as part of the Hercules deals they always seem to be running; Charger/5Ah battery/20v tool for $99. While I was there I walked past their “as is” table and seen a 3 speed 1/2” drive compact impact that was marked down. One of their employees happen to walk by and says everything there was an additional 40% off today and had a 5 day warranty so if it didn’t work when I got home I could return it. It worked like a champ for $23. It was missing the belt clip but I don’t really care about that. I’ll probably use it to throw in the Jeep tool box for trips.

Gotta love Harbor Freight!!!

I bought a Bauer vacuum, transfer pump, and a heat gun. Ended up with three batteries and a charger.

Year later the pump died, one of the batteries won't charge, and the ergonomics on the heat gun make it difficult to use.

I didn't spend any money on extended warranties so it's all just garbage.

Rather spend my money on quality brands like Makita.

Came across another decent “as is” Hercules 20 volt 1/4” drive 4 speed impact driver for $30. Put a battery on it once I got it home and it works as it’s supposed to. 👍🏼

Hercules is the brand I’m building with now. Brushless and 5 year no questions asked warranty. So far so good. My son is using them too. He had a problem. Took it back and the guy said get another one off the shelf. Easy.

I'm going to pick up another one of their deals of charger/battery/angle grinder soon to pair up with my Dewalt angle grinder. That way I can keep a cutting disc on one and a flap wheel on the other.

That’s my exact setup. Dewalt corded angle grinder. Hercules 20V Li angle grinder.

My Dewalt angle grinder is cordless too. I have several Dewalt 20v brushless tools. It all started with a big 1/2" drive impact in 2018 that I got when I installed my lift. I used it to remove and install everything for the lift and only used 1/2 of a battery charge. That led to a drill, 1/4" impact, hammer drill, another compact 1/2" drive impact, oscillating tool, 1/2" drive ratchet, the angle grinder and a handheld light. I have several batteries and chargers too. Aside from the big impact gun that I bought first, which I paid full price for at Lowes, I've gotten all the other stuff on sales or marked down deals on Amazon. I've been very happy with it all and impressed with how long the batteries last on these brushless tools. I rarely use any of my corded tools anymore.

Now I have a couple Hercules 20v brushless impacts and a Rip saw to accompany them.
