Thats a cool socket. But driveshaft bolts are 8mm 12pt aren't they
That was provided simply as an example of the type of socket. I have no idea what size/head type he needs, as not enough information was presented.

I’m not a mechanic so I’m not sure what tool to search for so I’ll ask here. I’m trying to find a ratchet or something to remove driveshaft strap bolt nuts that face the pinion. I have to use the open end of a wrench and that sucks. Trying to chase down a problem that might have me remove the driveshaft over and over and future maintenance.
My ratcheting wrench’s are too wide to fit all the way down on the nut. Wide around the ratcheting part not wide as in needing a skinny wrench.
Hopefully this question is clearer than mud.![]()

Took an old ratcheting wrench to the grinder to make it easier to remove the u joint straps on the diff ends of the driveshafts. New old tool, or old new tool?

Are you left handed? If not, that thing will bring the suck!
I am actually! But I bat, golf and cut right handed![]()
I like having left and right saws. Lots of flexibility. Especially when you're 40ft up hanging off a truss trimming 24" rafter tails and outlooks. Picking the saw that puts the saw body closer to you vs hanging in space is very nice.

Years ago I worked at a carpentry shop , and bought a magnesium worm drive Skilsaw to replace my Aluminum version . It was 2 lbs. lighter but it felt like it weighed nothing at the end of a long day. I learned how valuable it is to have good tools ! Trimming rafter tails sucks , anything you can do to make it better is worth it !
Swing through the Home Depot parking lot with cash in hand is the easiest way to get work done![]()
