New Tool Day

Ive had an "ok" set of sockets/ratchets I've gathered over the years. Decided to get a bit more organized and fill in the gaps of missing sizes with a tekton set.

Also, reorganized the tool box a bit

The best part IBasket , is a your tools show they are used . Sometimes tools become something to be worshiped or just a image enhancer to build up the owner. Nobody can say that about you . Stay real , and carry on ! , even if it's in the dirt and rocks . !(y)

Secretly I'm jealous 🤫 I have a tool chest thing that is basically empty because I can't roll it out in the gravel lol

Take the hard casters off and replace them with the harbor freight inflatable tire casters.

I did that with my welding cart.

If you really want to have fun extend the chassis, bolt on a 212 predator engine and chain drive to an axle.

It is a good idea, but I'm trying to use it as motivation to actually cough up for the garage door (hasn't worked yet)

You may want to familiarize yourself with these new invention - pneumatic tires

J/k - worked on gravel at a buddy's house back in the day - I can 100% appreciate how much of a pain it can be to not have the tools right there. Especially for someone like me who can't size out a bolt/but visually and it takes me 2-8 times to get the right size socket/wrench...

Sounds familiar... Massive pain with the Jeep with its mixed sae/metric. So thankful the Toyota uses JIS which is really only a few sizes (and all metric)

I’m not a mechanic so I’m not sure what tool to search for so I’ll ask here. I’m trying to find a ratchet or something to remove driveshaft strap bolt nuts that face the pinion. I have to use the open end of a wrench and that sucks. Trying to chase down a problem that might have me remove the driveshaft over and over and future maintenance.

My ratcheting wrench’s are too wide to fit all the way down on the nut. Wide around the ratcheting part not wide as in needing a skinny wrench.

Hopefully this question is clearer than mud. 🤣

Assuming it's tough to get a socket on, how about a low profile swivel socket to get your ratchet wrench in at an angle, like this:
