Good morning,

New user here, just making an introduction. I just picked up a 2004 Sport for my son who just turned 16. Want to start a mild father/ son project with it. It’s stock and pretty clean. I currently have a 1975 CJ 5 and have built a few other 4x4s but this is our first TJ.

Been doing a ton of lurking on the forum and already appreciate all the info I’ve seen.

Thanks
Steve

Thank you! Started “phase one” last weekend and will hopefully have most of the front done by tomorrow.

It’s getting a small lift. 2.5 inch springs with JKS control arms and track bar. The old suspension was pretty flat so 2.5 inches might look more like 4.

Mine is barely started. Wasn't running when purchased. Do have it running now, but brakes aren't working. Last of the parts we need are arriving today so we can hopefully start replacing components over this next week. I'm crazy swamped at work for the next 2 weeks, though, so most progress won't occur until after that (and once my kid is out of school for the summer). I'm a university professor, so we'll both have pretty flexible schedules over the summer.

Sounds awesome, my oldest is in college so it’s just my 16 year old at home now so I’m trying to savor the garage time with him.
