Work continues on my new to me Jeep TJ. I have these 4 wires coming from just above the windshield hinges. I suspect maybe they went to offroad lights but I wanted to check and see if I’m off base here. They’re cut and super corroded. Hoping someone has an easy answer so I don’t need to chase them down behind the dash.

Nice. You buy that in my neck of the woods by chance. If thats the kind of work the PO did, Id be under the dash and under the hood pronto looking for more master pieces like those. Trace them down, pull them out, Geez, just make sure their not hot.

Hard to tell from the picture but they weren't stock from what I have seen. They also appear too big for any normal lights they look like number 8 or 10 wire. Lastly 4 wires really is a bit confusing unless they had two sets of lights switched separately. Wow I cant imagine running wire through those hinges, you would think it would track water in along the wires.

I was a bit thrown by there being 4 as well. I guess the only thing to do is to attempt back track them wherever they lead.

No kidding. If their hot and get hung up while yanking on them that could get a bit exciting. Id bet their gonna just slide out. Flip open your Glove box and remove it and I bet you see the wires and some ugliness maybe.
