It just happened!

Spent a little more time cleaning out the inside of the frame. There's certainly more rust in there than expected, but nothing to freak out over. Fiber discs were used on the exterior driver side, control arm to control arm, to clean everything up. Once that was done, 220 sandpaper was used to make it smooth and ready for painting

Since I won't be painting the frame until I apply a copious amount Fluid Film inside, I applied some primer. I'll still need to drop the transmission and transfer case skids, and remove the lower control arm nuts, which will give me a complete even finish.

I've not kept up well with stuff. Are you still going to get rid of one of the Jeeps?

While installing the SKIM, I also replaced the ignition cylinder with a Dorman 924-784. The replacement ignition lock cylinder includes a tool that easily codes the new cylinder to your existing key. This is the third one of these I've installed and everyone has been flawless. Per the instructions, all you do is:

STEP 1: Insert your original key fully into replacement lock.
STEP 2: Swiftly rotate key clockwise one full turn.
STEP 3: Rotate key back (counter-clockwise) one turn.
STEP 4: Remove key and tumbler assembly
from orange housing.
STEP 5: Remove cap from tumbler shell,
then install tumbler assembly with key

New passenger side 4340 ECGS axle is in. As usual, everything had to be disassembled, cleaned, and painted. I have lots more work to clean things up, but one step at a time. A complete new brake system is sitting in the garage. However, I am holding off until I figure out which Jeep I am going to keep!

Looking good.
Did I miss the point where you decided you could keep only one Jeep? I thought this one was for the Mrs.?
