Had to replace my ignition key cylinder after the old one kept getting stuck. Ordered what I thought would be a good one from a major jeep vendor. Ended up being a Dorman. Paid twice what I could have got it for and had to wait a week. Rant over. Problem now is that when I remove the key, it continues to beep like the key was still in the ignition. Does anyone know what, in this cylinder, is the key sensor? Is this something I can hope to fix? Comparing the 2, I cannot see anything different that might be the culprit.
