Hopefully someone can help me here. I replaced my 2004 4.0 A/C Evaporator core, dryer/accumulator, and liquid line that includes a new orifice tube. When I removed the old dryer it had the o-rings & a metal gasket on both the in & out ports. BUT, when I removed the other end of the liquid line that connects to the condenser, it only had o-rings, NO thin metal gasket. Should there have been one on the condenser end of the line or not? I bought an o-ring & gasket kit that has 3 of them. Has anyone noticed if yours had the thin metal gaskets? Thanks.

WAG here but when you but an oring kit for $10 they give you just about every oring for every car ever produced and still make $9.75 profit.

If you did not leak before I don't think you need them. By the looks of the fitting the oring is fatter than the depression and the fitting squishes it in pretty well.

I'm not an ac guy but I would simply put it back the way it came apart if there were no issues at that location.
