I recently attempted to restore my inner door panels on my '99 SE half doors using some camel colored SEM spray paint. Little did I know that this paint is quite a bit off from the actual camel interior color and is instead an ungodly orange in contrast with the rest of the plastic interior that I decided not to paint. I used rust oleum adhesion promoter before applying the SEM paint. I would really rather the faded look of the original compared to this. Does anyone have techniques to remove spray paint and adhesion promotor that won't ruin the plastic underneath?
