Ford kills it

Well as impressive as it is, there is no way it will be as durable or bulletproof as the Wrangler. Rack and Pinion steering buried up in the chassis. Shocks which incorporate the spring mount. Cast alloy front suspension arms. Way more parts/pieces than a Wrangler and all engineered to fit without any extra space to get yer hands in there. Reading the Ford designers comments they built it more for speed, lighter components, tighter steering, lower unsprung weight, I get the impression that while it looks the part of a rugged crawler and has some impressive equipment it will be as easy to wheel as a Liberty.

Built for speed but not built to be rebuilt on the trail.

The best news will be Jeep responding with lockers on all models and a 35s option from the factory. Cuz altho the Bronco is impressive, its 10 wider than a TJ and it must be heavier. I'm thinking the 4 door is bigger than the original Wagoneer.
I have a very hard time saying reliable and JL Wrangler in the same sentence.

Stellantis will revolutionize the next generation Jeeps in Beijing.

The 2021 fraud bronco is growing on me; im terms of looks I think the 2 door looks horrible, but i like the look of the 4 door, which is odd becuase I hate the 4 door wrangler.
If there is an elecronic or plugin hybrid 5 years from now it could be my next vehicle.

Competition is good for the consumer. Jeep has had a free lunch for far too long. There was more thought and innovation put into the Bronco than the JL by wide margin. Id guess 90% of what people wheel the IFS will be fine. That Sasquatch package with 35s is available across all models. Im going to keep beating the hell out of my TJ. I can’t comprehend spending 30K+ on a new truck to turn around and throw it over rocks.

You pretty much nailed me sentiments on the subject: The Bronco looks like a great 4x4. The engine lineup is two proven designs that are both efficient and powerful. The IFS is the right decision for 90% of the buying public. I won't be buying one for a few years until they have the bugs worked out, the price drops, and I can find a good deal on a used one.

I like the two door Scout or Bronco or whatever. I think the four door is hideous but I also hate the four door Wrangler too so it is a four door thing for me. I laugh at people whining about the lack of manual and no crawler gear in the 2.7 motor because to me that crawler gear will be useless 98% of the time. It is good beer talk around the fire I suppose.
