Started dealing with the cosmetic damage to my CX that happened when a potential buyer dropped it, twice, at a stop stop sign.
That sucks , did he try to make it right after dropping it TWICE ?
Across the ice was how I got to high school in the winter before I got a car.
Up hill?

Nah, that was bicycling to work. When you live on one side of the valley and work is on the other side, it is uphill both ways.
Living in the Rockies , I totally get it . When I was employed I would leave at 9052' drop to 7600' , up to 9420 ' , down to 8920' all in 16.4 miles.![]()
I'm Illannoy, so nothing like that. Either climb was only a couple hundred feet. I had a long 7% grade to the shop. Home was a long 10%, followed by a short 13% to my driveway. The turn into the driveway was also up hill, but about 4%. When I'd get to the garage door and off my bike, I'd usually sigh and say, "That hill still sucks."
I went to high school in Glen Ellyn, IL. Same deal, uphill both ways. School was on top of a hill, we were even called the Hilltoppers as our mascot. The mile and a half walk from the house was downhill 75% of the way then a climb up to the school.
