2005 with NSG 370 - I'd like to buy a tool to lock the flywheel in place. I know I can wedge something in there, but does anyone have a tool that is known to work? I can't seem to find one.
Along those lines, is the flywheel, and bell housing the same for AX-15, NV 3550 and NSG 370 trans equipped TJ's?
Thanks!
Looking for something like this.

Can I ask what the purpose is for doing this (locking the flywheel in place)? I've never felt the need and am curious what that need is.

The bolt pattern remained the same, but the bell housings did vary (for example an 05/06 with a manual nsg370 had a different starter than the 42rle). They also varied across years (an ax-15 is not equal to a NV3550 or a NSG370)

WIthout locking the flywheel in place, you'll just spin the motors output shaft when tightening or loosening the flywheel bolts. There are lots of tools for other common motors, but can't find anything for my combo, but I don't have it apart yet to measure to see if an "off label" tool will work.

Oh, on mine we just used an impact to break them loose. Tightening them we used a box wrench on a different bolt while we torqued down.
