So of course, took my 05 TJ with wife downtown Austin, during ACL (Austin City Limits) festival to a friends to watch Longhorn game, and clutch goes “squish” when pulling in the driveway.
I said forget it, watch the game, like 40+ people there and all kinds parking and walking, their house is walking distance to the Zilker Park/ACL Festival so lots of friends in big driveway etc. So I'm super fired up about maneuvering my TJ after the game, ha. Plus the Longhorns lose, ARGH.
I made home without using 1st 1st gear, 1st gear no likey that soft pedal.
Sunday AM looked all over, there are no LuK or Mopar options.
20% off order shipped to AutoZone, and lifetime warranty, so there’s that, and picked it up local now (will return the shipped one in place, same exact part.
Put it in, about 45 minutes, works better than ever. THAT never happens! Wow, 1 job, 1 part, not other issues?
Just a word if others don’t know, the 2005/2006 with the NSG, none of the slave cylinders seem to fit against the NSG370, you have to use a grinder and take some off one side of the housing, maybe 1/8”…maybe 1/4” (220, 221 whatever it takes). Either way, grind one side of that edge, the side you are going to put toward the transmission, and then it bolts in easy.
