While searching to resolve a dash squeak i came across thesestuds that had no nuts on them.
I was able to source the correct nuts from a parts Jeep same year. This on my 1998. The picture below is the stud on the passenger side
Far right. It was extremely rusted and I could not get in with a wire brush. So I worked the nut back and forth trying to recut the threads.
All was fine until I got it about 98% on, of course the last twist it twisted right off. Has anyone ever done this, and can it be replaced?
I can access the parts Jeep and obtain a new stud if these are not welded . I’m hoping they are just pressed in.
